The Council is required by law to produce annual accounts. These are subject to audit by an external auditor and may be examined by any member of the public on request to the council’s Finance Officer. The council’s financial procedures are also examined each year by an internal auditor.
In addition to the statutory accounts, the Council also publishes a financial statement at the end of the financial year which is presented to the Annual Parish Meeting.
The Parish Council receives funding from a variety of sources, the main one being the annual precept which is paid through council tax levied by North Somerset Council. The council also receives various grants including an annual payment from Natural England for the management of Felton Common, and one-off grants..
